Kita BiLLY, Kita Pi mal Daumen
Visit to Pi Mal Daumen
As one of our partner Kindergartens under Querwege e. V. we have a special relationship with Pi Mal Daumen. We travelled by tram and walked up the hill. The children and teachers were very welcoming when we joined them for morning circle. Afterwards was a short break in the restaurant with some chocolate biscuits. At the table a conversation about the Gruffalo came about as one Gruffalo had travelled from our kindergarten with us. The children had recently performed a rendition of the Gruffalo and they acted out their play again for us. There was great applause afterwards. Then was our turn and the teachers Ben and Lisa told the story of the Gruffalo in English with the help of the guitar. There was also a big surprise in the garden, the children at pi mal daumen have guinea pigs, it was time to take them out of the cage, and that is exactly what the children from BiLLY helped to do. Once the animals had been convinced to go into the baskets they were brought to the lawn behind the kindergarten were there is a little fence to keep them in. The children in pairs were able to go into the area and feed the guinea pigs. They especially loved dandelion leaves which were plentiful.
