Intercultural weeks
This week we started our intercultural weeks. We all met for big morning circle on wednesday where we learned several names from different countries, sang songs and danced around the world.
There was a special visitor in the kindergarten for the intercultural week in the afternoon. The children came into the movement room and one of the parents was sitting there with a small basket of fruits. The children listened to the mother telling them the names of the fruit in Spanish. Then she read the story about the Hungry caterpillar by Eric Carl in Spanish.
Afterwards we sang the song “Everyone is looking for a friend” together in 3 languages: German, English and Spanish.
