Fresh apple juice
In the morning the children each packed 5 apples in their rucksacks. We sorted the children and teachers into two groups and set off on an adventure. The two groups met at the tram stop and we travelled to another part of the city to visit Mr George. Mr George was glad to see us, he remembered the kindergarten visit from two years ago. He told us about the machines that he has in the garden for cutting apples, pressing apples and making apple juice. All the children threw their apples in and watched as the first machine cut them small which was good as we had not brought knives. The second machine squashed the apples and lots of juice came out. The third machine had a long pipe and the juice looked a bit different when it had gone through the sieve. Everyone had packed a cup and checked to make sure the juice was just right. Afterwards we thanked Mr George and took a tram and a bus back to kindergarten just in time to enjoy lunch, with apple juice of course.
